I do know that I am almost a week late in sharing the snapshots from the long weekend, but in my defense it took me a whole week to recover from the blissful stay in Dominican and make peace with the fact that the vacation was over.
Below are some highlight from the trip but I will be sharing more pictures and the travel log soon, so stay tuned!
Every time I am by the beach, at an island I think that is the life for me. You can wear minimum clothing, spend your life being a bum, dance and drink (water!) whenever your heart desires and life passes you by (pleasantly!). But I also know the restless soul that I am, I wouldn't last being a bum for more than a week. After that I will either kill everyone on that island or become a total slob. Not a good scenario either way.
Heading for a beach getaway, also means picking out flowy backless dresses and tops. But the struggle begins when you run into an age-old snafu: P.S. brownie points to my resident photographer for catching me in action! ;) None of your bras jives with the open-back look you had planned. Yes, you can always go for the stick-on bras and tapes to keep your girls in place. But they feel quite uncomfortable in the hot and humid weather. Enter: dainty bralettes with cool lace straps that demand to be seen. I am especially, loving the Sierra Lace Bra which has this intricate back pattern, made me you wanna to show some extra skin, in fact wear it by it self, but I ain't that bold.
Did I mention about being a bum already? Yeah! I was a bum with a book in my hand. I got through this interesting memoire over the long weekend. It was quite a page tuner with more twists and turns than a 80's Bollywood movie.
Did I mention I love spas? I really do. I would pick a spa session over everything else. Even food. And the spa at the Paradisus Punta Cana Resort was simply outstanding. Total bliss, y'all!
Last but not the least the Gabi Beach. This is an unfiltered-unedited shot by the beach on the last day of our trip. I was so sad that we had to leave this beautiful view and that crystal clear water. I am still not 100% sure why I am back, but here I am, writing this post, so that I can share with y'all how wonderful that weekend was, and how dull this city life can be (sometimes). Ha!
