Snacks!

New York Naturals
Kale Chips

I don't know about you, but I'm not a big three-meals-a-day kind of girl.  I tend to have one big meal each day and snack throughout the rest, and I pretty much always have something around 3:30/4pm.
On this quest to stay vegan and also go raw for at least a meal or a couple of snacks a day, I found New York Naturals Sea Salt & Vinegar Kale Chips at Whole Foods.  I know ~ it doesn't quite strike you the way chips and guacamole or a dark chocolate bar might, but they were salty, with an interesting texture, and kind of addicting!  These were made with kale, sunflower seeds, white vinegar, sunflower oil, nutritional yeast and sea salt.  They are light and crispy and truly rather tasty!
If you're not quite ready for this, my other faves are bananas with cashew butter (and a sprinkle of flax seed if you're looking for some extra fiber), or sliced apples with peanut butter.  Of course, you likely know by now that I love my avocado so if you have time to make (or buy) some guacamole (search my blog for the perfect recipe), keep it a totally raw snack by eating it with carrots and celery instead of tortillas.  The white bean dip I posted long ago is also delicious, creamy and raw so search that one up for another alternative.
What do you like to snack on?
