One of my main goals in life is to live adventurously; if I'm not working I am doing something fun. Since I had an extra long weekend this past week, my family and I decided to head to Charlottesville, Virginia. We had been once before, in May, but since my parents are visiting, it gave us the perfect excuse to go back. So I packed up my things and grabbed some V8 Protein Bars from Walmart (I knew they would be the perfect on-the-go snack), and we got outta town, literally.
I made sure to keep one of my V8 Protein Bars with me while driving. It is a long drive and I knew I would need a snack. When we arrived, we spent the first night checking out a museum and getting ice cream in Historic Downtown Charlottesville, then we got up early the next day to tour Monticello. Again, I was sure to keep a protein bar with me, just in case. Lastly, we headed out to the Luray Caverns where we descended 164 feet below the surface of the earth. These caverns are huge and the tour lasted over an hour (I was really glad I had held onto that protein bar).
I knew I was getting the best nutrients from the V8 Protein Bars and making a "good-for-you choice". They're filled with quinoa, brown rice, sweet potatoes, honey, and more to make a delicious and energizing option. And with flavors like "chocolate peanut butter" you really can't go wrong! They are the little indulgence I need throughout my day. There are also V8 Protein Shakes, and if they're as good as the bars, I'm sold. You can find them in the Health and Beauty aisle.
I spent the weekend exploring Monticello, Historic Downtown Charlottesville, and the Luray Caverns. There was one product that made sure I had the energy to do it all, check it out #ontheblog today! #loveV8protein #adA video posted by Gentri Lee (@gentrilee) on Dec 12, 2014 at 5:38am PST

These bars were the perfect on the go snack for my weekend away. I wonder where we will go next...
