I thought I'd experiment with a slightly darker makeup look and here's what I came up with. In general, I like to keep my makeup pretty similar through the year, because I'm a creature of habit and bold makeup looks aren't often my thing, but I thought that it would be fun to experiment for once and so created this nude lipped, smokey eye and dewy skin look. And here's the low down on what I used:

It was a chance to try out a lot of new products, namely the Makeup Revolution ones, which I love for both their amazing affordability and quality. The palette has a large range of shimmery shades that are perfect for experimenting with, and a great mixture of neutrals from pinks to olives to browns that remind me of my favourites from each of the Naked Palettes. Paired with the eye primer they are so pigmented and really stick around all day - the perfect duo.
Secondly, MAC's Patisserie, which has become my go-to lipstick over the past couple of weeks since I got it. A beautiful brown-toned pink nude it goes with everything, and with the addition of the lipliner and think it makes a lovely pouty look with a nod to Kylie Jenner. I kept the rest of the look simple, with neat brows and glowing skin and really like the effect.
What do you think of this look, are you a fan?
