Small Yet Significant Victories

Little by little, I'm coming to terms with the fact that I may be becoming most of all here in Los Angeles—this strange yet charming place I never imagined I'd find myself living. Am I allowed to say I'm happy here? (Don't tell anyone, begs the New Yorker in me). The fact alone makes my heart flutter nervously, but it's true. And so be it. I'm learning there are few universal ways to define a full life, and I am more than capable of making the rules as I go. Hurrah. Take that preconceived notions of everything—'tis a leap year!
