New Hotels added to Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) collection

We have visted La Sultana, Marrakech, which is one of the SLH brand hotels and love the look of these hotels.  Each hotel has character and not a boring, corporate shell.

The Laslett, London UK
Named after community activist, Rhaune Laslett, who organised the first Notting Hill Festival, the hotel will host 51 well-appointed bedrooms and suites, spread across five listed Victorian townhouses on Pembridge Gardens.

Handy for Portobello Road Market and the vibrant local scene.  Pieces from British designers such as Simon Day, Pinch and Earnest Race compliment the interior, whilst art and photography from celebrated local names hang in the rooms. The public space downstairs is part coffee shop, part bar-kitchen, part gallery and part concept store, with regular art exhibitions and a locally sourced food and drink selection that will evolve throughout the day. The Laslett will offer in-room spa treatments and pop-up dining opportunities.

Located on a 3km stretch of pristine beach,  leisure activities including tennis, yoga, a spa and pool on offer. There are also six different dining options, giving guests a wide variety of cuisine to choose from. Trader Vic’s is home to the original Mai Tai while Seyshima offers delicate Japanese dishes.

Hotel Lilla Roberts, Helsinki Finland – opening August 25th, 2015 The hotel is the sister property to exclusive Hotel Haven, also in Helsinki and is located in the urban cool design district of the city on a quiet street. Their perfect location affords guests the ideal launch pad to their stay in this buzzing city. The 130 room hotel celebrates Scandinavian design with each thoughtfully chosen design and carefully chosen intention. Many of the hotel’s rooms host a view of the picturesque harbor and Kasarmitori (town square).

Guests will enjoy the creative cuisine in the bistro restaurant and then sip champagne by the fireside – or try a signature cocktail in the chic bar. If a day in town wasn’t exercise enough, the hotel also offers a state of the art fitness center for those wishing to excerpt themselves further.

Cours et Pavillons, Beijing China
Guests looking for true exclusivity should stay at Cours Et Pavillons – this 7 room hotel offers rare privacy in the bustling city of Beijing. The hotel has created a true to life Chinese experience for its guests by using traditional courtyards and antiques from the Ming and Qing Dynasties including carved wooden furniture and traditional wall prints. The quiet atmosphere at the hotel is uncommon in Beijing, allowing guests a relaxing and peaceful stay. Wei Jia was once a group of hutong houses which have been expertly infused with 21st style chic and service.
