Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) General Secretary Dayasiri Jayasekera yesterday said that steps will be taken to apprise Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe on whether the SLFP accepts the Ministerial portfolios of the new Government after having discussions with President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
A group of SLFP representatives met the Prime Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office yesterday.
He said that the SLFP thanked the Prime Minister for taking up the responsibility of steering the country in the midst of unprecedented economic challenges.
SLFP representatives held talks with Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe about the political and economic situation in the country.
The SLFP delegation comprised General Secretary and Parliamentarian Dayasiri Jaysekera and Parlimentarians Ranjith Siyabalapitiya and Dushmantha Mithrapala.
