Sleep

By Specialneedmom2 @specialneedmom2

I think it’s telling that I have an entire blog category devoted to sleep.

Sleep. The final frontier. These are the voyages of the chronically sleep deprived. Any parent will tell you that once you have kids, you won’t sleep for the next twenty years.

Those folks are right.

I was recently talking to a friend who said through tears, that she feels like she hasn’t slept for five years.

I said she probably hasn’t.

Look at the different stages of sleep deprivation a parent goes through – the newborn, teething baby, toddler partier, to the different stages of preschooler nightmares and school aged bed wetting.

My friend had made it up to nightmares AND bed wetting. Lucky lady.

I know each child has a unique sleeping style and challenges. We see that in our own family, with kids sleeping and waking at will.

What are your sleep survival tips? For kids or Grown-ups?
