Sleater-Kinney kicked off the first night of their 5 night stint in New York City on Saturday at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre. The iconic band took the stage after a moving performance by opener Torres. The set list consisted of songs from their newest album, No Cities To Love, in addition to old favorites like “I Wanna Be Your Joey Ramone” and “Turn It On”. During the encore, the band also played a cover of The Ramones’ “Merry Christmas (I Don’t Wanna Fight Tonight)”. It was an incredible show to start their NYC residency.
