Skyview Lounge at NAIA Terminal 3: Preflight Experience

By Thelostboylloyd @lloydthelostboy

Recently, I tried out the Skyview Lounge at the NAIA Terminal 3 in Manila. Opened only last February, the airport lounge welcomes not only premium class passengers and frequent flyers of Emirates and ANA, but also paying guests and holders of certain credit cards. Read more…

Open 24 hours daily, Skyview Lounge is located at the international departures concourse of NAIA Terminal 3, alongside other airport lounges. It currently caters to the following:

  • Emirates Business Class passengers
  • ANA Business Class passengers
  • Emirates Skywards Gold and Platinum members traveling on any class on Emirates
  • ANA Mileage Club Diamond and Platinum members traveling on any class on ANA
  • Star Alliance Gold members traveling on any class on ANA
  • American Express Platinum, Citi PremierMiles and Platinum, and Diners Club cardholders
  • Priority Pass members traveling on any airline and class
  • Globe Platinum Plan 5,000 and 10,000 subscribers traveling on any airline and class
  • Paying passengers (800 PHP per person) traveling on any airline and class

After the reception area, the lounge is divided into two seating sections: one for passengers traveling on ANA and Emirates, while the other for paying passengers and cardholders. There isn’t any difference in terms of features, style, and catering between the two sections, however.

Without the usual carpeting, dim lighting, and ornate décor, the lounge feels hip and modern, with its fluorescent lighting, earth colors, and bright blue and green cushioned seats.

Aside from the comfortable seating, the lounge’s features include power points to charge gadgets, fast wireless internet, reading materials, a Muslim prayer room, LCD TVs, immaculate restrooms and showers, and a VIP conference room.

The lounge serves a tasty all-day menu, which includes soup, meat dish, pasta, and their signature arroz caldo (chicken congee with condiments). For those who wish to have lighter fare, they have canapes, bread, cereals, and dessert bars. And as for beverages, they offer a range of hot and cold beverages, and alcoholic drinks.

Service by the courteous and efficient staff is outstanding, and they even make boarding calls over the PA specifically for their guests in the lounge. In all, the lounge is a great preflight experience—to wait and relax, eat and drink, get work done, charge gadgets, and even take a shower.
