Priding themselves on their ethical foundations, Amelia Moss is a brand that uses 100% natural ingredients to create high-quality skincare products at a mid-range price point. They steer away from using artificial ingredients to ensure their products are as organic as possible whilst having close relationships with the farmers that grow their produce.
I was very kindly gifted two of their products to put to the test, their Rosehip Oil (£20) and their Rose Water (£12). The Rose Water is said to be a cleanser and toner in one, but as I wasn’t completely sold on the idea it’d take my makeup off, I decided to use it as a toner. Upon first application, I noticed that the scent was a little overpowering, so not much is needed if you don’t want to smell like natural roses! The product was cooling on the skin and felt soft to the touch, rather than it feeling like it was stripping my face. The product is said to balance the skin's PH levels, although I can’t comment on that – it sounds good to me!
Rosehip Oil is something that I have loved for many years. I love the effect it has on my skin and Amelia Moss’ product is no different. With an orange tint that makes you look a little bit tanned (I like), the oil gives you an instant glow to the skin. I’ve mentioned many times that spot scarring is something I suffer with when I have a breakout, and rosehip oil is top notch for aiding the skin back to normal, I always notice an increase in the speed of recovery when I use it, what a gorgeous product!
Independent brands always have my backing if they can deliver, and Amelia Moss is another one added to my list. So, if you are in the market for some new skincare treats, head over and a have a browse – you never know, you may love it!
