Nice and fresh smell of baked Pita Bread woke my family up. “Just like from bakery” – they said with a good morning smile
Ingredients for the dough
- 2 tsp of yeast
- 1 1/4 cup of lukewarm water
- 1 tsp of salt
- 3-3 1/2 cups of flour
Method
Put the yeast in water and leave it to bubble for 5 minutes. Add salt and flour and start kneading. Knead the dough for 8 minutes until it stops sticking to your fingers… add flour gradually.
Divide the dough on 10 balls and roll them out on 0.2 inches thick. Leave the circles to double themselves for 30 minutes. Warm up the oven on 428 F degrees and put the dough circles in the baking pan.
Bake the Pita Breads for 10-15 minutes and leave it a little bit to cool.
I have stuffed these Pita Breads with salami, mayonnaise, cheese, mexican sauce, tomato and cucumbers… but, you can use anything you like and choose.
