On a recent Caribbean trip, a medical emergency onboard necessitated a medevac from the cruise ship, which was provided via this USCG Jayhawk operating from Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater (Florida). This afforded an unexpected aviation photography opportunity even though all I had packed was my Sony RX-100. These upgraded Jayhawks have an operating range of 300 miles. Entering service in 1990, 42 MH-60T’s are operated by the Coast Guard. Sony RX-100, processing with Aperture.
