The Sub Inspector attached to the Thihagoda Police accused of shooting and fatally injuring a 15 year old student in Thihagoda on November 28 was identified by five other students who were traveling in the same three wheeler with injured boy.
The identification parade was held yesterday before the Chief Magistrate Matara Isuru Nettikumara who ordered that the suspect beheld in remand custody until November 18.
The student who received head injuries had been admitted to the Matara General Hospital and transferred to the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery.
