I love white pizzas of all varieties, but this…this is definitely my favorite white pizza of ALL time. I’m a huge fan of alfredo sauce, and I’m always looking for different ways to use it, so that led me to developing this recipe. This shrimp alfredo pizza is super delish, and super easy to put together! I use a good-quality jarred alfredo, so no need to make your own! Take some more store-bought shortcuts from your supermarket by buying ready-made pizza dough, pesto and cooked shrimp, and you’ll be able to put this pizza together, literally in minutes.
1 cup cooked shrimp, tails removed
1/2 cup prepared alfredo sauce (Recommended: Prego or Bertolli)
3 tablespoons pesto
1 cup fresh mozzerella, sliced
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
olive oil spray
Salt and pepper, to taste
Place your pizza pan into the oven and preheat your oven to 450 degrees F. I love my cast iron pizza pan. After losing one too many pizza stones to cracking, I invested in this amazing cast iron pizza pan, and I’m completely sold. It makes the crispiest pizzas ever, and it’s totally worth the money, considering cast iron lasts forever!
Roll out the ball of dough into a 14″ inch pizza pie, using flour as needed to make sure it doesn’t stick.
Remove the hot pan from the oven and lay the pizza crust onto the pan. This will help it begin to cook immediately, and creates a crispy crust.
Spray the pizza crust with olive oil spray, then layer with 1/2 cup of alfredo, 1 cup of sliced mozzarella & 1/3 cup of grated Parmesan.
Lay the shrimp on top of the cheese.
Finally, drizzle the pizza with 3 tablespoons of pesto.
Bake the pizza for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling and the crust is golden brown.
Can we say, yum?! Now, excuse me while I go devour this pizza, by myself.
