Memento is a thriller film directed by Christopher Nolan. Memento is presented as two different sequences of scenes: a series in black-and-white that is shown chronologically, and a series of color sequences shown in reverse order. The two sequences "meet" at the end of the film, producing one common story. Memento premiered  in Sept 2000, at the Venice International Film Festival to critical acclaim. More of it later ….. do you remember things correctly … here is one on memory shared by my friend……… at around 10.30 pm in the night, wife asks …. How many did Krish Srikkanth score in 1983 World Cup… Husband replies – ‘oh, I remember that innings so well – Srikkanth made 38  ended up the top scorer – should have been the Man of the Match’ … Wife – well, now tell me – why you have not wished me from the morning on my birthday ? ……… stumped .. or clean bowled !!. Everyone forgets things at some time. Often people search for their keys or try to recall the name of the person with whom they are chatting for long !.....  Some degree of memory problems, as well as a modest decline in other thinking skills, is a fairly common part of aging. Amnesia  is a deficit in memory caused by brain damage, disease, or psychological trauma. Amnesia can also be caused temporarily by the use of various sedatives and hypnotic drugs. Essentially, amnesia is loss of memory. Forgetting (retention loss) refers to apparent loss or modification of information already encoded and stored in an individual's long term memory. It is a spontaneous or gradual process in which old memories are unable to be recalled from memory storage. Forgetting also helps to reconcile the storage of new information with old knowledge.  Memory slips are aggravating, frustrating, and sometimes worrisome.  There could some simple reasons like – lack of sleep, stress, medication, and more which can cause such forgetfulness. Caroline Wozniacki is a dashing Danish player, former World No. 1 on the WTA Tour, having held this position for 67 weeks.  She was the first woman from a Scandinavian country to hold the top ranking position and 20th overall.  Wozniacki has won 22 WTA singles titles; was runner-up at the 2009 and 2014 US Opens. She won the 2006 Wimbledon Girls' Singles title but is yet to win a women's Grand Slam title.  The Tennis star has often insisted that her love of the game comes first and she is not interested in the money her famously lucrative sport can bring ~ and it seems she could be telling the truth as it has been revealed that she forgot to pick up her $1.45 million check after she finished runner-up at the U.S. Open a few weeks ago. After failing to win her first Grand Slam title once again to Serena Williams, the 24-year-old accepted her trophy and fulfilled her media duties, before rushing back to her $7million Manhattan apartment. She then realised that she did not have her winnings.  Half an hour after rushing off to her apartment, she arrived back at the tennis center, a look of mild panic on her face. Wozniacki was later photographed at New York Fashion Week with Williams and Anna Wintour so she may have had other things on her mind.  The Danish tennis star, who has been sponsored by a whole host of brands including Adidas, Rolex, and Sony Ericsson, does add: 'I will do a chocolate deal for product only. No need for money.'  Wozniacki  is worth an estimated $24million - she is 11th on the all-time Women's Tennis Association career earnings list, at nearly $18.4 million.  Earlier this month she spoke about the support of female friends such as Miss Williams after her ex-fiancé golfer Rory McIlroy broke up with her To conclude : Memento directed by Christopher Nolan was based on his younger brother Jonathan Nolan's short story "Memento Mori".  In the story, a man named Earl has anterograde amnesia. Because of his inability to remember things for more than a few minutes, he uses notes and tattoos to keep track of new information. ….. now you know the connection ….. ‘Ghajini’ the Surya starrer, directed by AR Murugadoss was released in 2005.  Heroine was Asin – it was dubbed and released in Telugu and remade in Hindi too.  The film explores the life of a rich businessman who develops anterograde amnesia following a violent encounter in which his love interest was killed.
