Shenaya Shines at Edinborough Squash Tournaments

Shenaya Siriwardena of Ladies College displayed splendid performance at the Edinborough Junior and Open Doubles Squash Tournaments 2022 concluded at the Army Squash Complex, Engineer Park, Mattegoda on April 4.

Shenaya crowned the titles in Girls Under 19, 17 individual events while she secured runner-up position in the Mixed Open Doubles event with M.A.M. Ushama of Sri Lanka Air Force.

Shenaya beat Anargi Perera of Visakha Vidyalaya in the Girls Under 19 event while she obtained the Under 17 title when she defeated Adhithi Gunasekara of Ladies College.

Thinura Randina of Nalanda College secured the Under 19 title in boy’s category while Seniya Jayatilleke obtained the runner-up position.

The top seeded Ravindu Laksiri and Shamil Wakeel both from D.S. Senanayake College gained a victory in the Men’s Open Doubles final encounter against Shariff Hakeem and Methmal Wood.

Edinborough Products (Pvt) Ltd, the Sri Lanka’s leading food manufacturing company came forward to sponsor the tournament while the event was conducted by the Sri Lanka Squash (SLS).
