I continued to add detail to this new abstract grid painting by drawing with paint. But I focused on moving the eye around the canvas, especially to a focal point about one-third from the top center. I also worked at making the intersections of the angular lines stand out by filling in some of those intersecting angles with Prussian blue.
I added highlights with parchment and cadmium yellow light. I painted in small sections with brilliant blue. I worked over the whole painting, but was conscious of drawing the eye across it in patterns.
Then I mixed some blue-gray and painted the four corner blocks with it. I also used it in small sections within the main design.
Now I'll let it sit and take a look tomorrow.
