Shakir Ali Rizvi Shot Dead Near LHC

 Senior Lawyer Shakir Ali Rizvi was shot and killed by unidentified gunmen near the Lahore High Court complex on Friday.

According to sources Shakir Ali Rizvi advocate, accompanied by his associate lawyer Rizwan and driver Sohail Miseh, was moving to the apex court in regard to a hearing, as soon as his car reached Jain Mandir two unidentified motorcyclists opened fire at his vehicle and fled away.

The lawyer was rushed Sir Gangaram Hospital immediately but he succumbed to his wounds before the arrival.

Soon after the incident police reached the site and started investigation.

Following the incident the security of LHC was tightened and High Court Bar Association announced to boycott all the courts proceedings against the assassination of the lawyer.

No group has claimed the responsibility of the incident yet.

Taking the notice of the incident, Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has ordered for immediate arrest of the perpetrators. The police have lodged a case against the unknown persons.

According to latest updates, chief Justice of Lahore High Court has taken Sou moto action of Shakir Ali Rizvi’s murder.
