The ex-Oasis songwriter was discussing Kanye West's infamous stage invasion at the recent Grammy Awards, after which the rapper claimed that Best Album winner Beck should have given the award to "real artist" Beyoncé.
When asked by Stereogum whether he watches awards shows, Gallagher said: "I'm aware of our mate Kanye being a bit of a buffoon at one of them, yeah.
"Didn't he say Beck should 'respect artistry' and pass the award on to Beyoncé? Somebody should buy that boy a dictionary. And he needs to look up the f**king term 'artistry' and then see if it reminds him, in any way, of Beyoncé.
"If shaking your ass for a living is considered art, then she's right up there, no?"
Gallagher recently revealed that he has turned down offers for The X Factor and I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!.
