Sesame Walnut Paste Sweet Soup 芝麻合桃糊

By Rumblingtummy @RumblingTummi
Some time back, I ate some Sesame Walnut Paste Sweet Soup 芝麻合桃糊 using supermarket bought sesame and it tasted horrible, it lacks that fragrant taste to this sweet soup.
Was told that if I were to use for dessert, I have to buy the Japanese type.  Since that fail attempt, I have been thinking about it and even bought myself a pack when I visited a Japaneses supermarket.
Also, you need to be very careful when roasting black sesame seeds.  Too high heat will resulted in a bitter taste.  Since it is black and you can't really see the doneness, one way is to add some white sesame seeds to it.  This way, if you spotted the white sesame seeds turning light golden, that means it is ready.
I saw this recipe adding walnut and I thought it is interesting, since walnut is good for brain and both oil from these are beneficial to one's health.

I am loving my machine more and more now.
Note: You can simply use any blender you have to do this, just blitz longer.  The higher the powder of your blender, the smoother the result.
Findings: The next round, I will remove the skin from the walnut and see whether it will taste better as I detected some bitterness and I suspected it might be due to the walnut skin.
Overall, the texture is very smooth and I love it.
