This month I have exceeded my August record and this month--which happens to be an ultimately life changing month--I've managed to read fifteen books. All the novels below are from the genre 'New Adult' which is specified to ages around eighteen to twenty-five, also protagonists from the novels tend to be between this age range. Usually I read 'Young Adult', but this month I decided to mix it up. I still love both 'Young' and 'New' adult, there are so many similarities and differences, it's nice to be able to flit from one to the other. Because there are fifteen books here, I'm only going to give a few sentences about each.
Colleen HooverUgly Love; This is my favorite by Colleen Hoover, it was such an interesting read with so many emotions, I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it was nice to dive into something without any knowledge about the plot. It was refreshing to read from both point of views in the same book, I feel as though I learnt a lot about these characters and I came to care so deeply about them. There ending was everything I was hoping for, so big points for Ugly Love.
Slammed, Point of Retreat; Slammed was such an interesting read, I was pretty wowed by how much I loved these characters and I felt so much for Lake and Will, their love, their predicament, and their ending. Then to have Point of Retreat after as well, was such a bonus, to hear their stories after what happened in Slammed. I really loved this series and would recommend.
Hopeless, Losing Hope; With these two books, because they're companion novels I wish they were merged together, usually I can read companion novels but because all the plot had been revealed whilst I was reading Hopeless, Losing Hope appeared to take me more time to get through. However, their love was adorable and the story was again, brilliant, Colleen Hoover has a safe spot as one of my favorite authors with the novels I've read of hers this month.
Krista and Becca RitchieAddicted to You, Addicted for Now, Kiss the Sky, Hothouse Flower, Thrive; Please welcome my absolute favorite 'New Adult' series, Addicted, I am so emotionally invested with this story line and these characters, every single one of them, I love them all, all their flaws and their goodness. I am so excited for the final book in Lily and Lo's story that comes out at the end of October, but I am so sad that it's ending. I don't want it to be over. I would hundred percent recommend all of these books, there are a lot to get through, but without a shadow of a doubt they are absolutely fantastic.
Penelope DouglasBully, Until You, Rival; Usually I wouldn't particularly like how this story started out with the 'bully' term, however, I was shocked by how much I actually really enjoyed these two books. I have reread parts of them several times and I can't wait to see where they end up when the final book. I didn't like Rival as much as Until You and Bully, mainly because it was focused on other characters and not Jared and Tate, however their parts in Rival were my favourites.
Rachel Van DykenRuin; Truthfully this book wasn't as exciting as I thought it was going to be, I felt there were unnecessary story lines that were not needed and played no role in the story. It was a sweet read I guess, but I wouldn't read it again.
Lina KagePrice of a Kiss; Interesting read, definitely different in terms of the male lead, though not a vast difference with story lines between other books but again I didn't find it as exciting, as others may have.
