When is the Sephora Fall Savings Event?
As with most Sephora sales, the Spring Savings Event is a tiered sale. Your status with Sephora's free Beauty Insider program determines when you can shop and how much of a discount you will receive.
The Sephora Spring Savings Event begins Friday, November 1, 2024, in-store and online, for those who are Rouge status with the Beauty Insider program. Rouge status members get 20% off their purchases. Also, on November 1st, all Sephora Collection products will be 30% off, regardless of status.
The sale opens to those in VIB and Insider status on Tuesday, November 5. VIB status members receive 15% off their Sephora purchases, and Insider status members receive 10% off their purchases. The Sephora Fall Savings Event ends November 11 for all levels of Beauty Insider members.
What makes this sale so special?
It may seem as though Sephora has one of these deals every month, but in fact, a discount of up to 20% only happens twice a year. Sephora is known for makeup, but the company also carries a wide range of skincare, haircare, body care, and wellness products. And unlike department stores, Sephora mixes high-end with more budget-friendly yet highly-rated brands (and has an affordable in-house brand that is 30% off during this event).
And with this, I pass the baton/pen/keyboard to my sister Debbie!

My Skincare Recommendations
I do end up needing to repurchase a lot of my staples whenever it's sale time. I'll also go without for a bit so I can get that savings. Right now, I am out of my daily face wash. I have been using Summer Fridays Super Amino Gel Cleanser for a while now, I've gone through several tubes of it and really like it. But I'm also fairly obsessed with , and they just came out with their Baptism Gentle Foaming Facial Gel Cleanser with Glycerin that sounds pretty similar but at a slightly smaller price point (Dieux is about $5/oz, Summer Fridays is $7/oz), so I'm going to try that instead.
I'm also out of my exfoliating face wash. I am still using the Tata Harper Regenerating BHA Exfoliating Cleanser. It is 100% a Holy Grail product for me. I don't use it every day - though I could - and so the smaller container lasts months. I still have a little leftover from the tube I bought in the Spring sale, but that could also be because I also had a few small tubes.
And I need a new acid. I use this in the morning as my first step instead of washing my face (always wear sunscreen, especially if using actives!) and I like something that has a combination of acids, including glycolic. Before before I hit 40, glycolic did nothing for me, I was all about lactic, now I like a good amount of glycolic.
I might go back to the Dr. Dennis Gross peel pads, and I like that they have different strengths and types of acids - there's Extra Strength (glycolic, mandelic, and salicylic), (glycolic, lactic, and malic) and Ultra Gentle (lactic acid only). But I might also go back to the First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads (glycolic and lactic). I find them pretty gentle on my not-sensitive skin, and my skin just looks good when I use them. Nothing revolutionary, but a good refresh.
I'm also interested in the Fenty Skin Pre-Show Glow Refillable Instant Retexturizing 10% AHA Treatment (glycolic, citric, and lactic). I'm still undecided, I think it'll be a game-time decision.
I am also going to get the Caudalie Vinoperfect Ultimate Brightening Routine. For the same price as the serum bottle, you also get a mini eye cream and moisturizer. The serum is a vitamin C alternative, and I really like it in the winter. It doesn't completely get rid of dark spots, but I do think it reduces them and just makes my skin brighter.
I'm not fully out of my moisturizer-I've been using Merit Great Skin, and I really like it. It's thick but not heavy, nice in the morning and night, and perfect for the crazy hot and cold weather we've been having this fall.
But for winter, I really like Dieux Instant Angel, so I will be purchasing that. I love how thick this is and that it leaves my skin a little tacky. I made Alison try it, and she hated the tacky feeling, so this isn't for everyone. I also used their Air Angel Gel Cream over the summer, and it was light and refreshing.
Glossier went back to their original Balm Dotcom formula, so it includes lanolin, which is the magic ingredient in my favorite Jack Black lip balm, and I'm a little obsessed with Balm Dotcom. I have the original and mint and am going to venture into the color formulas with this Limited Edition Biscotti and Espresso set because I love brown lip products. I'm so excited about this.
My Haircare Recommendations
Though back to humidity - I also love the Color Wow One Minute Transformation Anti Frizz Styling Cream. I keep some in my purse for emergency puffiness and it really works. I recommend just getting the mini size because you just need to use a little at a time.
My Body Care Recommendations
I will be buying another tube of my favorite Caudalie Hand and Nail Cream. It's effective, it smells really good, and it's reasonably priced (for a high-end hand cream). I just applied some more as I was typing this, and my desk tube is almost out.
I also think I'm going to get a mini size of the Kate McLeod Body Stone. I have been interested in these lotion bars for months now, just waiting for cooler weather to buy one. There's also an insect repellent one - if I like these, I may buy the insect repellent to have on hand for next summer.
In other body care news, I highly recommend the Luna Daily sprays. They basically turn regular toilet paper into a wet wipe. I don't know what sort of magic Luna uses that makes toilet paper damp but not disintegrate it, but I'm a big fan. I have the standard size at home and keep the mini in my purse.
My Makeup Recommendations
For makeup, I recently bought some new blushes, and I love them. I was very into peachy bronzer type colors over the summer and wore the Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder Flushed - Matte Color for Cheek & Lip in Rosé N Brunch every single day, usually with the Dior Rosy Glow Blush in Coral layered on top. But when September hit, I just wanted something different.
I bought the Rosy Glow Blush in Mahogany and applied it very lightly. It's such a pretty color, but it can be a little patchy-I think because I'm applying so little. But I love the depth of color it adds-much better for me than any bronzer has been.
I finally figured out the Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder after seeing a TikTok she did. You need to let it sit for a minute or two before putting anything else on top. I like it instead of foundation. I have it in Universal-translucent, so it doesn't add any coverage but blurs everything in the most subtle way. Then, I can spot conceal and move on with the rest of my makeup.
Lately, I have liked wearing an actual foundation, but I'm not sure yet if I recommend what I'm using, so I'm going to skip that. However, I do still really like both the Hourglass Veil Mineral and First Aid Beauty Coconut Smoothie primers. NARS Soft Matte concealer continues to be my go-to, and I still apply it with a Real Techniques eyeshadow brush. It just blends so well.
I don't really wear actual lipstick much these days, but I recently pulled out my Sephora Cream Lip Stain in 01 Always Red and realized it needed to be updated so that's in my cart. It's just the perfect classic red and great for the holidays.
My favorite lip gloss right now is the Sephora Collection Outrageous Plump Hydrating Lip Gloss. It's minty, but not excessively so (less minty than the Glossier Balmdotcom). I have it in 02 XXL Nude, which is just an easy thing to keep in my purse, and am going to buy it in 07 Pink Pout during the sale.
I am also going to pick up the Refy Lip Blur Lip Liner in Umber. I like the whole blurry lip thing that's going on right now and this just seems like it'll be fun to use.
My Beauty Gifts Recommendations
This sale is also a great time to pick up gifts. This Bold and Blushing Blush and Lip Set also looks great and has my favorite Danessa Myricks blush. And I always get the Mini Candle Sampler Set as a present to myself. But all the Sephora Favorites sets are really good this year. And gift sets are also great to buy for yourself! It's a great way to try out some products or to get smaller sizes for travel. This is just a rapid-fire list of some of the ones from brands I like or want to try:
This ended up being a much longer post than I thought it would be! And, of course, I do still like the items I talked about in previous sale posts.
I want to hear from you!
Do you have any products to recommend back? Leave them down in the comments! In the Spring, I followed a recommendation to get the Bobbi Brown corrector stick instead of the cream and I liked it so much I also bought the darker shade in the summer!
