Sea of Thieves FPS Boost Guide – In-Game Settings
Of all the in-game configuration options, these will help you optimize performance and improve your FPS:
- Anisotropic Filtering to 16x
- Antialiasing – Mode to Enhance the application setting
- Antialaising – Setting to 8x
- Texture filtering – Anisotropic sample optimization to Off
- Texture Filtering – Negative LOD bias to Clamp
- Texture Filtering – Quality to High Quality
- Texture Filtering – Trilinear optimization to On
- Triple Buffering to Off
- Vertical Sync to Off
Sea of Thieves FPS Boost – Tips
These tips apply to almost all games, so if you still don’t know them, we recommend them, for Sea of Thieves and any other game.
High Priority – PC & Laptop
These are the steps to set high priority:
- Launch Warhammer 40000: Darktide
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc at the same time
- Right-click Warhammer 40000: Darktide
- choose High priority
Demanding background applications
Check to see if any pointless programs are currently running in the background. Additionally, you can choose which programs you want your system to launch automatically upon bootup and stop the superfluous ones from doing so.
- Launch your Task Manager by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del.
- Click on the Startup tab.
- Keep the essential applications, Enabled.
- Disable the rest
Disable Windows Background Recording
Windows 10 settings menu > Gaming > Captures (Left) > Turn off Background Recording
Disable Nvidia Instant Replay
Press Alt+Z > Click on the Instant Replay block > Turn it off
Discord Settings
- Launch Discord
- User Settings (Bottom left)
- Voice & Video (left sidebar)
- Advanced Section (scroll down)
- Turn off ‘OpenH264 Video Codec” & H.264 Hardware Acceleration
- Disable Enable Quality of Service High Packet Priority
- Select Advanced (Left sidebar)
- Disable Hardware Acceleration
- Select Game Overlay (sidebar)
- Disable Enable in-game overlay
- Restart Discord

If none of the above has worked for you, and you still have Low FPS, check that your computer meets the minimum requirements, and ideally the recommended ones
