Enrolled students will be introduced to the principles of dramatic writing including character, plot, dramatic structure, dialogue, exposition, setting and creating theatrical images, through a series of lectures, discussions, creative exercises, stage readings and viewings.
Individuals looking to hone their craft and improve their writing skills are encouraged to participate in this opportunity. Writing students will be guided towards developing their own creative work using the tools and skills acquired from the workshop, with a culminating writing activity for a 10-minute short film script or presentation of a TV series concept.
Scriptwriting for Film and TV Workshop and Playwriting runs May 3-May 12. Course fee for each class is P7,000.
Dang Bagas is a writer for film, TV and theater. She is also an accomplished filmmaker and educator. With almost 16 years' experience in writing for television, she has received recognition for shows such as "Hiraya Manawari", "Sineskwela", "Kasaysayan TV", "It Might Be You", "Reputasyon" and "Lobo".
She was awarded the PBBY-Salanga Writer's Prize for her children's sort "The Little Girl in the Box". She is presently an active senior member of Kuting (Kuwentista ng mga Tsikiting) and The Writer's Bloc, Inc.
