Turkish sculptor Selçuk Yılmaz has constructed a 6-foot-tall, 10-foot-long lion using 4,000 pieces of scrap metal called Aslan (Lion in Turkish). Aslan took almost one year to complete with Yilmaz hand-cutting and hammering each metallic piece into shape until they fit together to make a lion. The giant metal sculpture seems like a character from a novel or fantasy film or maybe a cross between more than one fictional character; such as the cowardly tin-man from Alice in Wonderland and Aslan the wise lion from The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe?
