Normann-Copenhagen's new storage system Kabino works as a media cabinet (since a remote control can work through the perforated facade) or a tall stacked cabinet (if you take off the legs it works together in a modular fashion). The piece was designed by the company's in-house designer Simon Legald, who only graduated from design school in 2012!
Dwell is in Milan this week, reporting on the furniture industry's biggest design fair, Salone del Mobile. Today we hit the ground running, and noticed quite a few storage pieces we'd like to call our own. Some have innovative operating mechanisms, and others luxe materials—either way, we're inspired to start shelving things, from books to DVD players.
