A couple of weeks ago Lee and I both took a day off work to belated celebrate his birthday, we packed in lots of fun things for the day, and naturally several of these involved eating, so bright and early we set off over to Harborne to try out the breakfast at Scotts of Harborne having heard lots of chatter on the wind about their breakfast burritos!
When we arrived, we were glad we had got their early, it's not the biggest of places, but they have made the most of the small space and the bamboo walls, cacti and hanging plants really grabbed my attenetion in a good way. Its like they planned it with instagram in mind!
As it turned out, when we had a flick through the menu there was one thing that caught our eye. Pancakes! All thoughts of breakfast burritos were forgotten and we turned our eye to the chalk board pancake menu. Lee went simple with blueberries and maple syrup. I went indulgent and slightly naughty for 10am on a Wednesday with Nutella and Marshmallows. The pancakes them selves were a cross between an crepe and an american pancake, and ever so light and fluffy given their thickness. They definitely hit the spot, and my only complaint was that I would have preferred a better quality marshmallow than the tiny ones out a generic packet.
Their lunchtime tapas style menu sounds great too and looks to be excellent value, so I look forward to trying it out when we can!
