Verdict on Scarlet Winter
Recap
The movie follows a man who discovers his mistress murdered in his home. He looks to cover up the incident to save his marriage but soon starts to question who was behind her murder.
Best Parts
The movie presents an interesting mystery, as Mark can’t turn to the police for help, which will ruin his marriage anyway. It keeps us guessing as to who might be behind it. This shows the fragile creations of relationships and how easily they can shatter.
Worst Parts
The small cast makes the suspect pool extremely small. We know it won’t have been Mark, so the rest are the main suspects, and everyone seems to have a secret. It felt like the ending came out of nowhere too, but not in a surprising way.
Final Thoughts –Scarlet Winter keeps you wondering but never surprises.
