Admittedly, (and I don't think I stand alone here)-- I thought I retired the classic "graphic tee" along with my other Abercrombie and fitch era one-hit-wonders. Okay okay, fine I indulged in the occasional juicy couture "Juicy It Girl" shirts and what have you, but that was it. Almost half a decade after surrendering these excessive shirts, hipsters became a thing. Hipsters started it all up again, sporting a phrase on a tee undoubtedly with 'ironic intent'. I wasn't interested in being an asshole for the sake of being an ass hole, like putting someone mainstream (like myself...) down. I'd seen rando heads rock the whole ironic hipster tee look a la cambridge during my Boston days and it always looked so unappealing and time-consuming. That was quality time they could have spent drinking or collaging or something. Plus, i love clothes too much-- if i'm going to go out of my way to buy and rock something, its gonna be with genuine enthusiasm. Half the time i have no idea whats going on and i love it, but this whole ironical quasi-trend seems reserved for the undefinable group of modern day beatniks whom i will never fully fathom. But hey, if that's your thing, then by all means, roll with it.  ANYWAYS, as I was saying, i am really digging the fact that graphic tees and collectibles are back and novelty as ever. My love for the classic "homies" sweatshirt (still wear that sweatshirt like there's no tomorrow, and I'm not too proud to admit I've also indulged in a YSL boatneck cutoff of similar persuasion…)
We all know Wildfox has a special place in my heart and wardrobe, and never fails to keep me head over heels. Plus the classic nod to Hermés, aka 'Homies' (Brian Lichtenberg) and his newest addition "Ain't Laurent without Yves"-- words can't even justify my love for this ish. Plus, thank you sir, as a YSL lover and obsession with the man the myth the legend and the brand as a whole, you literally are taking the words out of my mouth. Just what the doctor ordered. I am game to sport the hell out of alllll  these novel-teees (wordplay lolz). So whether you plan on wearing them ironically or not--who gives a f--k, they're dope.
