Plot: Tired of family chores, and only caring about his gifts, a teenager wishes a little too hard and accidentally makes Christmas disappear!  As the only one who remembers its existence, it’s now up to him to bring the holiday back to the world. To do that, he must discover just how much the festive spirit has touched his family over the years and learn the true meaning of Christmas.

Story: Saving Christmas starts when teenager Nick (Ortiz) is getting tired of his family’s Christmas commitments. His mother Carol (James) puts on too many events, his younger sister Jojo (Wejr) is too excited, and his father Steve (Charlesworth) is always busy. He makes a wish for Christmas to disappear and the next day, nobody knows what Christmas is.

Nick must find a way to get everyone to enjoy Christmas again, with only his best friend Ben (Zaharia) to help him. However, nobody believes him, and he struggles to convince anyone or learn his lesson.

Verdict on Saving Christmas

Saving Christmas is a fantasy comedy about a teenager who wishes Christmas away. However, he isn’t prepared for a life without Christmas and must figure out how to take back his wish. It means he must learn the true meaning of Christmas to understand what he might have lost.

This is an enjoyable Christmas movie that follows the traditions of a Christmas movie. It puts all the focus on understanding what is important, being together and celebrating together. The idea that Nick must learn his lesson works for the fantasy elements in the movie and it creates a truly feel-good movie. This is a movie that can be enjoyable over the festival period and understand the true meaning behind it all.
