In honor of the running of the 139th Kentucky Derby, the Lee Park Junior Conservancy is proud to host the 5th annual “Day at the Races” on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at historic Arlington Hall at Lee Park. The event is open to the public and will be welcoming 500 guests at Arlington Hall, including members of the Lee Park Junior Conservancy and prominent supporters from the surrounding Uptown/Turtle Creek/Park Cities neighborhoods.
The “Day at the Races” event is a way for the community to come together to raise funds for the preservation and conservation of beautiful and historic Arlington Hall as well as the further development of Lee Park. This afternoon event has become the see-and-be-seen event for Dallas’ young professional set. Classic Kentucky Derby Chic is the attire and great Southern Cuisine, Mint Juleps, cigar rolling, live entertainment, dancing, silent auction, and race day gaming have made the event successful for five years running.
I am thrilled to be a judge in the "Best Hat" and "Best Dressed" contests along with Blake Stephenson, Publisher, Modern Luxury Dallas; Maxine Trowbridge, Founder & Editor-in-Chief, Pink Memo and Rachel Abrams, Associate Editor, CultureMap Dallas.
VIP ticket holders will have access to a private seating area in the new Allman Pavilion, an upgraded drink and food selection and VIP gift bags. Join the Lee Park & Arlington Hall Conservancy and get a reduced-rate ticket while also helping contribute to the beautification and further development of Lee Park and Arlington Hall.  More information can be found at http://www.leeparkconservancy.org/events.php?up=1
