WordPress safety is at all times a great concern for bloggers. With so many hackers around the blogosphere now it is critical for everyone to take care of your WordPress blog without getting hacked. There are hell lot of hackers who are trying to access hundreds of blogs to get few bucks from the blog owners.

All your hard work on your blog can go in vain if it gets hacked. So warning you, if you’re not worrying about protecting your WordPress blog then it is soon to get hacked. Some measures that can be taken in order to prevent misuse or hacking of your blog are:

 

Strong Passwords

Use stronger passwords that have both upper & lower case letters to shelter your account and keep interlopers out. One should not use same or even similar passwords for various accounts so that even if one gets hacked, you don’t loose on all your accounts. It is also advisable to keep on changing one’s user password about every few months to help sidetrack any or all efforts from any outsiders.

By using dissimilar passwords for numerous accounts, one gets the time to make changes if necessary to avoid any further damage to their data.

Backups are Important

It is advisable to run backups regularly as running backups gives some peace of mind. These backups won’t prevent hacking but obviously keep hackers away from blackmailing you for your data as you will already have another copy of it.

Mandatory to keep WordPress account and plugins updated

The laziness of not updating your WordPress account is surely a potential risk that may lay basis for an impostor to gain access to your WordPress account. The released updates for WordPress or any plugins are important as those updates fix any bugs, patch and security breaches.

Install Security Plugins

There are many security plugins available in the market. Some of the ones that can be used with WordPress are:
