I hate that we seem to have to compare all real wireless earbuds to Apple's AirPods, but in this case, the comparison is really accurate. The Samsung Galaxy Bud Live with noise cancellation clearly goes from head to toe with the AirPods Pro. It's priced at $ 170, a fraction of the AirPod Pro's $ 250 price tag. And at the moment this share is even smaller than usual: You can get that at Woot Galaxy Bud Live for $ 145 or just $ 135 if you're an Amazon Prime member . That's almost half the price of AirPods Pro.
The Galaxy Bud Live has a really unique design - shaped like kidney beans, I've heard they are called Galaxy Beans, and they are meant to sit in your ears instead of being inserted into your ear canal. This is one of those scenarios where your mileage can vary, but many people seem to prefer the ergonomics of the beans. including CNET's David Carnoy. CNET's Lexy Savvides kind of agrees but disagrees entirely"They fit a lot better than the AirPods, but don't feel any more comfortable overall."
Apart from that, the Buds Live offers excellent sound, active noise cancellation and a battery life of around 8 hours. This also includes features you won't find in AirPods, like a low-latency game mode and support from Bixby, Samsung's voice assistant.
