Savannah Guthrie, who grew up going to church, now enjoys taking her kids to church.

Savannah Guthrie, who just released her first children’s book “The Princess Wear Pants,” shared her Sunday routine with the NYT.

A part of Savannah’s Sunday routine is coffee and spending time at church with her two little ones.

I grew up going to church, and I like taking the kids to this church in our neighborhood called Trinity Grace. It’s a casual church, and I can go in jeans or a simple dress. Michael is Jewish and usually doesn’t come with us so I take Charley and Vale there in our double stroller. The service is about an hour and a half. Vale sits with me in the beginning when the songs are going on, and then goes to Sunday school.

Guthrie had recently shared with  Guideposts about her Christian upbringing.

On Sundays we’d spend all day at Casas Adobes Baptist Church for Sunday school, morning service, choir practice and night service. Faith was so woven into our daily lives, we liked to say that God was the sixth member of the Guthrie family.

So how does Savannah Guthrie balance being a wife, a mother, and a television show host?

“Sometimes I am in balance sometimes I am out of balance.”

I try really hard,  my kids and family comes first, and when you know that everything else kind of falls into place.”
