College Park Blues Festival, Clinton college fair with laptop give aways ,Taste of Potomac is commemorating their anniversary, and an intriguing play called “Fat Pig” that I’d love to see.  Just emailed them about some tickets.  If you attend any of these events, write me and tell me about your experience. 

College Park Blues Festival Warner Williams, Clarence “The Blues Man” Turner, the Tom Newman Band and the D.C. Taste of Potomac Gourmet Market at National Harbor, to commemorate their anniversary, is having demos and free tasting events featuring favorite items and preview new gourmet selections including beers, wines, holiday pastries, cheeses, snacks and more! Everyone that enters will choose a coupon for either 10, 20, 30, 40, or 50% off any purchases on 11/12 or 11/13 and be entered in the grand prize gourmet gift basket drawings!   Balloons for the kids!

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY AUTHORS BOOK SIGNING at the Greenbelt Public Library , 1-4pm, Meeting Room, lower level, 11 Crescent Rd. Greenbelt, 301-249-0763.  The event features books about and authors from Prince George’s County, Maryland.  Authors will briefly talk about their books and will be available for further discussion and signing afterwards.  Light refreshments will be served. FREE

I would love to see this play but I’m covering another event: DANG IT!!!  FAT PIG, presented by the Prince George’s Community College Hallam Theatre, 301 Largo Rd., Upper Marlboro, MD 20774, 301-322-0920.  Authored by Neil LaBute, the play follows a young handsome man who has to explain his new relationship with a plus-sized woman to his shallow friends.  This play explores society’s traditional view of beauty.  For ticket information, call 301-322-0920 or email theatre@pgcc.edu  The play opened Thursday, November 10 at 3:30 p.m., and runs November 11 – 13 and November 17 – 20 at 7:30 p.m.
