San Diego.

My friend Tami said it best: “Vacationing with a toddler is just parenting in a different city.”

And all the parents said amen.

Joking aside, we had a lovely time in San Diego. The flights were a breeze (thank you, Curious George!) and Everett was adorably aware of the fact that we were on an airplane. We went to the beach and the park and the zoo and even drove to Disneyland for the day because we are totally crazy like that. Speaking of which, I do not recommend bringing an almost two year-old to Disneyland. SERIOUSLY DON’T DO IT. Everett was terrified of everything (rides, parades, all of it). His favorite part of the entire day was the bus shuttle to and from the parking lot. He smiled the whole time shouting “bus! bus!” to anyone who would listen. The next time I want to plan a special day for Everett, I’m just going to arrange a whole day of public transportation.
