San Antonio Zoo Lights - A New Holiday Tradition

By Michelle Hernandez @Familylovesa
Before the Thanksgiving Break ended, we had one last hurrah at the newest family holiday celebration: Zoo Lights at the San Antonio Zoo!
Warning: There are lots of pictures! But, keep scrolling to see the best looking Santa's in the game!
To make your way to the North Pole, pass the thousands of lights, Christmas music and cookie decorating with Mrs. Claus.

Doesn't he look convincing?
I had three 9-year olds with me that acted like they didn't really wanted to see him. But as soon he started talking presents, they were all in. It was so sweet to see the magic that the holidays bring.
P.S. You can purchase picture packages, but can also use your own camera, which makes the entrance fee completely worth it!
So, there are not just beautiful overhead lights, you can still ride the carousel, ride the train, make s'mores, play reindeer games, drink hot chocolate and make ornaments.
And because you were about to ask, not all the animal exhibits are open. Many of the animals have settled in for the evening and the reptile house is closed, but don't let that stop you from making this memory!
Zoo Lights is open daily from 6-10pm, thru January 3rd, 2016, except Christmas Eve and Christmas Day! Cost is $12.25, $10.25 for members.
