The NX Mini is one of the first compact digital cameras with a screen that flips 180 degrees. This unique feature makes it easy to capture moments from any angle.
The touch screen also makes it easy to focus photos, set timers and scroll through the shots you’ve taken. This makes it ideal for capturing – and sharing – the perfect shot of you and your friends at the beach, hanging by the pool or taking in views from a summer hike. The flip-able screen makes this camera perfect for taking selfies.
Sharing is Easy
As an Android camera, the Samsung NX Mini has Wi-Fi capabilities that allow you to share your favorite summer moments, directly from the device. Forget about connecting a USB, downloading photos and then uploading them to your favorite social sites, this camera allows you to combine all those steps into one, with a touch of a button. In addition Samsung AutoShare can automatically send all photos to your smartphone or tablet, and even Geo-tag them for you.
And if you’re still not pleased with the way your photos turned out, you’ve got way more help than filters. The NX Mini comes bundled with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5, giving you all the editing skills you need to create the perfect picture.
Small Size, Big Picture
As its name suggests, the Samsung NX Mini is small enough to bring anywhere, no matter where your summer adventures may take you. The device has a depth of less than one inch, is a mere 4.34 inches wide by 2.43 inches tall, and weighs in at just 6.9 ounces. And though it can easily fit in your back pocket, the NX Mini’s 3-inch display is more than enough space to view your photos.
Internally, the camera holds a 1-inch 20.5 BSI CMOS sensor, which allows it to capture photos in high resolution, a top shutter speed of 1/16000sec to get those action moments, and a 9mm lens for wide shots. If the 9mm lens doesn’t satisfy your photography needs, the camera’s lens is actually interchangeable with a 9-27mm zoom lens, allowing you to choose the lens that is best for your needs.
Unique Features
While certain features of the Samsung NX Mini may not be used by everyone, they are certainly creative. Some of the unique uses for the device include baby monitoring, which enables the device to send an alert to your phone if your child wakes up; the wink feature, which signals the camera to snap a shot two seconds after you wink at it; and the remote viewfinder, which allows you to take full control of your camera from your smartphone or tablet, via an app.
