Samsung Galaxy S8 To Launch Today; How to Watch Unpacked 2017 Livestream

The Korean smartphone company Samsung is all set to launch their much-awaited flagship smartphone the Samsung Galaxy S8 today at an event in New York at 11 am EST (8:30 pm IST). It is one of the most highly anticipated phone launches in 2017, yet. Samsung also has a lot of reputation at stake after the disaster in the form of Samsung Galaxy Note 7.

What will Samsung Launch today?

While the launch of Samsung Galaxy S8 is confirmed for today and thanks to the number of leaks we already know almost everything from design to price and specifications.

What we know is that there is another device that may be launched today i.e. Samsung Galaxy S8+ which is basically a larger device of the two upcoming smartphones.

In terms of Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ specifications, both of these phones are expected to come with QHD Super AMOLED Display. While the S8 may have a 5.8-inches display, the S8+ may have a larger 6.2-inches display. The Galaxy S8 is supposed to come only with a dual-edged variant and both the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 835 SoC. Samsung may also bring in variants with its own Exynos 8895 chip as well.

There is a rumor that some of the Galaxy S8 variants may have 6GB RAM while the regular version will only have 4GB RAM and the device will ship with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. Like Note 7, Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ will be IP68 certified water and dust resistant. Both the phone with support Dual-Sim and will be powered by a 3000 mAH and 3500 mAH battery, respectively. For the photography enthusiasts, it is supposed to come with a 12-megapixel dual pixel rear camera, and an 8-megapixel front camera.
