Guys heard of this phone due to its one powerful ability? Yes, this is the Samsung Galaxy Beam with small projector  along with to show things out of screen. First time Samsung has tried foisting a projector phone on an unsuspecting public. So let’s take review of this sporty-looking, with yellow and chrome bezel along with rubbered back cover phone. Let’s see what’s actually it is and how it will lead the market wit its performance, harware, design, etc.

Hardware:

This Samsung Galaxy Beam phone have decent hardware with Novathor 1.0 GHz dual-core processor (U8500) with ARM Mali-400 graphics. It has 768MB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage. All above specifications work together effictevly. The entire device measures in at 124 x 64.2 x 12.5mm and weighs 145g. it comes with 3.5 mm jack and the micro SD card slot. Projector:

As we know Samsung Galaxy Beam is the first projector smartphone with Android operating system. Its DLP Pico projector with decent 15 Lumens LED lamp provides awesome experience of watching something out of phone. The image formed on the wall is watchable. Galaxy Beam’s 15 lumen LED lamp provides 640×360 resolution.

Software:

Samsung Galaxy Beam runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread and Samsung will provide update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and can even provide Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Samsung Galaxy Beam have Touchwiz 4.0 interace. So we have to wait for Android 4.0 update currently.

Display:

The phone has a 4.0 inch display which is popular screen size these days. Its LCD screen has resolution of 480×800 pixels. The display is quite bright and has good colour reproduction, sharpness and contrast. The 233ppi pixel density is quite good and ensures there are no nasty surprises with pixelation. Don’t know why Samsung didn’t used its AMOLED Display Technology.

Camera:

The camera is 5 megapixels and is pretty average at best and a 1.3 megapixel in the front. There’s even a LED flash which makes it click decent pictures. Camera captures good amount of details during captures and provides a sharp looking photo. The phone shoots video at up to 720p resolution. Front camera is also good for video calling which is its best use.

Additional features:

Samsung Galaxy Beam is 8 GB of internal memory which is expandable by another 32 GB through a micro SD card. Its without 4GLTE support and that’s why its 2,000 mAh battery will last you more than the entire day. it have Accelerometer, Ambient light and Proximity sensors. There’s all kind of coonectivity that most of uses these days like WiFi, WiFi Hotspot, A-GPS and Bluetooth.
