Samsara

I recently watched the much talked about documentary “Samsara” which is now available on DVD. The non-narrative movie was filmed over four years in 25 countries exploring the vast variety of human cultures, religions, spirituality, architecture, but also contemporary society. And this is where you are presented with powerful and disturbing images of the system we live in.

In the clip below, you can see with no censorship how food most people consume is made on a daily basis in factories. These are the places where human life is equally unimportant as the lives of animals which are turned into food. Just as people buying this products in supermarkets are only numbers. No different from the numbers those products are classified by.

This is what I think every time I go to a regular supermarket. Watching all the nonsense of the human behavior, I always affirm that that isn’t going to be my life. But I know that for most people it is.

How about you? Are you participating in the craziness of the human race or are you changing the world with your personal choices?
