With his guitar picking style and vocals reminiscent of the British folk revival of the 1960s, it seems particularly fitting that the video for his newest single, “Sweet Satisfaction”, off Ryley Walker’s incredible album Primrose Green, contains images of wandering around a bleak landscape. Of course, Walker still throws in surprise elements in his music, and this video is no different. Juxtaposed with the serenity of the landscape are shots of strange, glowing beings and hands reaching out from the darkness, emitting a general discomfort. For a song that mixes electric guitar buzzing with Nick Drake-like guitar and vocals, this makes absolute sense.
