From Old Abbey Ales in Abbotsford comes their "Rye Pale Ale" part of their Tavern Series. The beer pours a golden colour with a white head. The aroma consists of rye, citrus, floral hops and some spice. The flavour is of rye, mild spice, citrus, citrus rind and a very mild hops bitterness. The alcohol content comes in at 5.1% with an IBU of 17. The addition to rye in more and beers these days is great as it adds a nice dimension to beers. This one is a good example of a rye pale ale.
