True Blood’s Nelsan Ellis and Rutina Wesley bowled for the The American Black Film Festival (ABFF), which hosted t its first annual ABFF Strikes, a celebrity bowling tournament and fundraiser. The mission of the event was to unite prominent members of the Hollywood community in an effort to raise awareness of and provide financial support for organizations committed to educating and empowering underprivileged youth.

A veritable who’s who of Hollywood, including Chris Tucker, Elise Neal, Rockmond Dunbar, Roland Martin, Tatyana ALi, Rutina Wesley and more joined Long and Friday to raise funds and fun. Twelve corporate sponsored teams, headed by celebrity captains will bowl two games each and invited guests were encouraged to make pledges and matching gifts based on team scores. A good time was had by all with the goal of creating opportunities for young filmmakers.
