Sometimes when I start out on my Sunday long run, I feel antsy and hasty. I’ve got this hurried feeling. But then I remind myself: ‘It doesn’t matter how long it takes me, as long as I get there! Even if it takes me all day, who cares? I’ll still have gone the distance.’
That realization, the knowing I’ve got all the time in the world, offers me a wonderful sense of freedom.
My long runs on Sunday are pure freedom!
