Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer Marshmallows

By Fashion Addicted Foodies @fashionfoodi

Yep, I made Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer Marshmallows. They look super cute and extremely festive. It does not matter what your age is you just cannot resist the cuteness of Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer.

The best part – or should I say parts – is that these only have five ingredients plus they are easy and so much fun to make. Believe me when I say that my shaky hands do not make me piper extraordinaire, so anybody can make these. All my Rudolphs ended up looking quite different – or should I say that they each have an individual look -, but that’s the fun part. They are just so cute that you aah and ooh even about a Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer with lopsided eyes. Think about how much fun would it be to make these with kids. They would have a blast!

And more to the point who does not like marshmallows with chocolate and salty pretzel? No one I know…

Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer Marshmallows

Makes: 25
Preparation time: 1 hour plus setting time

Ingredients:
25 Jet Puffed Marshmallows
25 Pretzels (you might want to have a couple extra in case you break some)
80 gr Milk Chocolate (Lindt Excellence Extra Creamy Milk Chocolate)
50 gr White Chocolate (Lindt Excellence White Chocolate)
25 Red M&Ms
25 cake-pop sticks or straws

Directions:
Break the upper part of the pretzels off, so that they will resemble horns (photo below).

Line up the marshmallows on a working board. Melt the white chocolate in a heat-proof bowl over boiling water taking care that the bowl does not touch the water. Let the melted white chocolate cool off a little bit. When it’s not too runny anymore with a small spoon place a dot of white chocolate in the middle of the top of each marshmallow. Let it cool and harden a little bit (around 5 minutes). Before the white chocolate completely hardens place the pretzel horns in the middle of the white chocolate dot with the broken part upwards and gently press down. If the horns tilt and do not stand up on their own, let the white chocolate cool down a little bit more. Then try again.

Let the white chocolate cool down and harden completely before continuing.

Place the marshmallows on their side, so that the horns are levelled with the below surface. Melt the milk chocolate in a heat-proof bowl over boiling water taking care that the bowl does not touch the water. Let the melted milk chocolate cool off a little bit. When the chocolate has hardened so that it’s not runny anymore transfer it to a piping bag. Pipe two small milk chocolate dots on the side of the marshmallow for eyes. Then pipe a slightly bigger milk chocolate dot for a nose. Before the nose dot hardens place a red M&M on top of it and gently press down. Let the milk chocolate completely harden before continuing.

Gently press a cake-pop stick or a straw into the bottom of the marshmallow with circular movement. You can also leave Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer Marshmallows as they are. Store in an airtight container.
