Ruby Red and Green Godess Smoothie-Raw Vegetable and Fruit Juice- Health in a Glass

By Shalinidigvijay @shalinidigvijay
It's been a cold winter...The days were so cold that it was the scariest possible thing to even touch an orange. So my skin and most importantly, my tummy was really missing the goodness of fruit and vegetables. As it seemed improbable to munch on winter goodness, I decided that the best course would be to drink them.
So ,the result of the magic of the blender Jar and some kitchen experiments...
Ruby Red and Green Goddess Smoothies.
In the fray are veggies like carrots -red and black( I also made Kanjee ,a fermented sour drink with black carrots) , Spinach, Beetroots ,Coriander, Kiwi fruit ,Pomegranates, black grapes ,Pineapple, orange ,Kinnow or whatever fruit you can lay your hands on...
Even bananas.
All you need is a fantastic blender ,some lemon juice ,honey and /or rock salt.
Just make sure you don't complicate issues. Start with 4 -5 ingredients and familiarize your palette.
You can of course use the juicer and avoid the bulk...but if there is no fiber ,it defeats the purpose. Add more water to make the smoothie go down.
Green Goddess was the first. These were my 4 ingredients that I juiced with 1 cup of water. Segmented oranges with pips removed, peeled kiwi -after reading more , now I don't even bother to peel the kiwi. I just wash and wipe the kiwi ,slice the top and bottom and add to the spinach ,Coriander and orange segments. .
Beetroots, carrots, Pomegranates and orange segments make the Red Ruby.
I stick to color families, and add lemon juice or honey or rock salt to add to the taste.Swap fruits to suit the contents of my fridge and Mood...
The first few glasses were bad....but the promise of better health far outweighs the grassy feel in my mouth and I now really enjoy my Liquid Goodness.
So what is your promise of Good Health???
