Royal Festival Hall Landscape, Southbank, London

By Davis Landscape Architecture @DavisLandArch

The pedestrian connection of the Royal Festival Hall to the promenade of the Southbank has played a critical role in the revitalization and the creation of the Southbank as a destination in its own right. These works were carried out at the same time as the refurbishment of the Royal Festival Hall itself. At the lower level glass fronted cafes and shops face the direction of the river with steps and a ramp up to the Thames riverside promenade.
