Roll Maal, a Perfect Adda for Some Desi Snacking

An outlet opened in one of the busiest shopping hubs of the city, Sarojini Nagar. It a fresh breeze amongst all the chaat papdi shops in the area offering variety of rolls ranging from kaali mirch malaai tikka to Chilly  chicken roll and the never heard of Laal Maas roll. The place has a lot to offer for everyone according to your taste buds.
The Kaali mirch malai tikka is a scrumptious serving, with soft, succulent, tender pieces of chicken, well marinated in cream and black pepper. The next was Rajasthani Laal Maas roll which had a generous amount of juicy mutton, cooked to perfection.  The Bombay style franky chicken was something which failed to impress us as it was just boiled chicken served in an egg roll. It had no major differentiating flavors. All the rolls were served with green mint chutney, choor choor papad and pickled onions which complimented well with the rolls.
After having, the not- so -good franky chicken, Keema pao compensated for the mood. The pao was lined with keema and wrapped neatly in the paper served along with a bowl of keema, pickled onions and green mint chutney. A new addition to rollmaal’s menu was the paao bhaaji. A classic Mumbaiya dish served with a great punch of flavours and fresh toasted paao.  An all time personal favorite was the Spicy Matar kulcha, with crisp kulchas and freshly prepared matar mixture, topped with finely tomatoes, onions and green chillies.. On crew’s recommendation, we tried Rolu’s desi remix, which was a local version of the bottled lemon soda with a dash of masala.
Overall a good experience, for people who would want to have decent rolls without burning a hole in the pocket.
